Today is Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday. Our 16th President is often referred to as our greatest. One of the reasons was his leadership. He lead a nation through a very difficult time. Over 600,000 Americans died in the Civil War. The week before his death he revealed his intent to introduce legislation to give African-American men the right to vote and equal citizenship. The "coup" that lead to his assassination also sparked the beginning of Reconstruction and 100 years of Jim Crow before President Johnson signed legislation providing for an end to segregation.
We all have different leadership qualities and I hope you take the time to explore how you can become a leader in Undergraduate Studies. For more information, check out the leadership blog at http://leadershipforus.blogspot.com/
