MEEBO is a great feature that allows me to connect with students and my colleagues instantly. Also, I was a little disturbed to find my house picture on google maps.

What can I do with this major?
Students often ask me, "but what do I do with ...?" The answer really is ANYTHING if you work hard, develop strong communication skills, and build relationships that will open doors for you. The UK Career Center has a great resource to answer that very question if you click on the title of this blog post or go to

Choosing a Major is NOT a life choice
Students often get confused about career choices versus major choices. While those two are often linked, choosing a major is NOT a life choice. You need to consider what major will you enjoy and be successful. If you utilize the services of the Stuckert career center then you do not need to worry about your career because job opportunities will be available regardless of your major. Life is short - Be happy with your choice!!!

Building an airplane while flying
The Central Advising Service and Transfer Center is currently writing a freshmen assessment plan to determine how best to assess our services to first year students in Undergraduate Studies. Here is a great video which represents how I feel about the process.
Welcome
This is my first blog and hopefully the beginning of a successful learning experience. This blog is intended to give you insight into the process of choosing a major and helpful resources available at the University of Kentucky. I hope you enjoy it and look forward to your feedback.
